How to Review Offers and Match Percentages

Once your request is live, offers will start coming in. Understanding how to review them, especially the Match Percentage, is crucial for making an informed decision.

 

What is Match Percentage?

This is a proprietary score (0-100%) generated by our system. It quantifies how closely a vendor’s offered property aligns with the criteria you specified in your request. It analyzes location, property type, specifications, budget, and features. A 95% match means the property fits almost all your requirements; a 70% match indicates significant deviations.

 

How to Use It:

  1. Initial Sort: Always start by sorting offers by “Match %” (descending). This surfaces the properties that mathematically fit your needs the best.

  2. Primary Filter: Use it as a primary filter. Offers below a certain threshold (e.g., 70%) can often be quickly reviewed or set aside unless the vendor has noted a compelling reason in the offer details.

  3. Investigate Deviations: Don’t just look at the number. Click into the offer card to view the full property listing. See where the mismatch is. Is the location slightly different but better? Is the price higher but includes extra amenities you didn’t request? The percentage guides you, but your judgment is final.

 

Beyond the Percentage: Evaluating the Offer

  • Property Details: Carefully review the photos, full description, and specification list on the property page.

  • Vendor Profile: Click on the vendor’s name. Are they verified? What is their rating? How many listings do they have? A 95% match from a new, unverified account may carry more risk than an 85% match from a top-rated, verified agency.

  • Price & Terms: Does the offered price fit within your specified budget range? Are the payment terms (for sale: outright/installment; for rent: duration, fees) acceptable?

 

The 15-Offer Cap

Note that each request can receive a maximum of 15 offers. This ensures you get a curated, manageable selection of the best-matched properties from competing vendors, preventing overwhelm. Review each offer holistically—combine the objectivity of the Match Percentage with your subjective review of the property and vendor credibility.
