How to Use Search and Requests Together

Knowing when to use Search and when to use the Request system is key to a successful experience on Properti Nigeria. Think of them as complementary tools in your property toolkit.

Use the SEARCH function when:

  • You have a clear idea of what you want and enjoy the process of browsing.

  • You need a property quickly and want to see all immediately available options.

  • You want to explore the market, understand pricing trends, and see what’s out there.

  • Your criteria are flexible, and you’re open to discovering properties you hadn’t initially considered.

Detailed Filters

Our search is powered by detailed filters. You can search by transaction type (Rent, Sale, etc.), property type (Apartment, Land, etc.), location, budget, bedrooms, and many advanced features. Parameters from your homepage search are carried over to dedicated pages (like the Rent or Sale page) for a seamless experience.

Use the REQUEST function when:

  • You have very specific, non-negotiable requirements that aren’t readily found through browsing.

  • You are time-poor and want properties to come to you, rather than you searching for them.

  • You want to anonymously test the market and see what options vendors propose within your specific budget and criteria.

  • You are looking for a unique or highly tailored property (e.g., a commercial space with specific power loads, land with a particular title).

Posting a request is like broadcasting your needs to our entire vendor network. You fill out a detailed form about your needs, and vendors compete to serve you with their best-matched properties, complete with a match percentage. This is often faster and more efficient than a manual search for niche requirements.

The smartest strategy? Use both.

Start with a broad search to gauge the market. If you don’t find the perfect fit, post a detailed request. You can even save your search criteria to get alerts when new properties that match it are listed, covering all your bases.
