Inspection Issues: Booking, Acceptance, and Cancellations

Inspections are live appointments, and issues can arise. Here’s how to handle common problems.
Issue 1: The vendor hasn’t accepted my inspection booking.

Cause: Vendors have a window to Accept or Decline. They may be busy, or the property may have become unavailable.

Action: Wait 24-48 business hours. If still no response, you can Cancel the inspection from your “Pending” tab, which will free you to book another inspection with a different offer. You can also try contacting the vendor via the provided number as a follow-up.
Issue 2: I need to reschedule or cancel an inspection.

Action: Go to Inspections > Pending. On the inspection card, click “Reschedule” to propose new date/time options to the other party, or click “Cancel.” Always communicate promptly. Frequent last-minute cancellations may affect your user rating.
Issue 3: The vendor/seeker didn’t show up for the inspection.

Action: If the other party is unresponsive at the scheduled time, wait a reasonable period, then mark the inspection as “Completed” in your “Pending” tab. You can then leave a low rating and feedback explaining the no-show. This feedback is vital for community trust.
Issue 4: The property viewed doesn’t match the listing.

Action: After the inspection, mark it as completed. You can then Report the Property for inaccurate information, providing details in the report. Also, leave an honest rating for the vendor.
Issue 5: I can’t find the “Mark as Completed” or “Rate” button.

Cause: These buttons only appear at specific stages. “Mark as Completed” is in the “Pending” tab after the inspection has occurred. The “Rate” prompt appears after the inspection is marked as completed and the card moves to “Completed Inspections.”

Action: Ensure you are in the correct tab. If you marked it complete but don’t see a rate option, try refreshing the page or logging out and back in.
Clear communication via the platform’s contact tools is key to resolving most inspection coordination issues. Use the provided features (Reschedule, Cancel, Contact) to manage changes professionally.
