The Offer

When a vendor finds a relevant request, they select one of their Available listings and click “Send Offer.” This is not just a notification; it’s a formal presentation of that specific property to the seeker. The offer card the seeker sees includes the property image, name, location, price, and the critical Match Percentage.

Understanding Match Percentage

This is a score from 0-100% generated by our algorithm. It quantifies how closely the offered property aligns with the seeker’s original request. The system compares dozens of data points:

• Core Criteria: Property type, transaction type, location.

• Specifications: Number of bedrooms/bathrooms, lot size, furnishing status.

• Features & Amenities: Swimming pool, gated community, generator, etc.

• Budget: How the asking price fits within the seeker’s specified budget range.

• Location Precision: Matching down to the Area/LGA level scores higher than just matching the State.

A 95% match indicates a near-perfect alignment, while a 70% match shows significant deviations (e.g., the right property type but in a neighboring area, or with one less bedroom).

How Seekers Should Use It

The Match Percentage is your primary sorting tool. Sort offers by “Highest Match %” to immediately surface the most relevant properties. However, use it as a guide, not an absolute rule. Click into a 90% match offer to see why it’s not 100%—the deviation might be unimportant to you, or it might be a deal-breaker.

How Vendors Can Influence It

For vendors, this score is your competitive edge. It is directly determined by the accuracy and completeness of your property listing. If your listing form is sparse or inaccurate, your match percentage will be low, and your offer will be buried. Meticulously completing every field in the “Post a Property” form is the single most important thing you can do to win in the offer system. High match percentages lead to more accepted offers and booked inspections.
