To ensure a fair and secure environment, Properti Nigeria employs a structured, escalating enforcement framework. This system is applied consistently to address violations of our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and other policies.<\/p>\n

The Enforcement Framework<\/h4>\n

Our actions are proportional to the severity and frequency of the violation.<\/p>\n

    Formal Warning:<\/strong>\u00a0This is the first step for minor infractions. Examples include a first-time offense of posting a listing with minor inaccuracies, using mildly unprofessional language, or a single no-show for an inspection without malicious intent. The user receives an in-app and email notification detailing the violation and the required corrective action (e.g., \u201cUpdate your listing details within 48 hours\u201d).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Temporary Suspension:<\/strong>\u00a0If a user repeats a violation after a warning, or commits a more serious first-time offense (e.g., sending spam offers, posting a fraudulent listing, demonstrating unprofessional conduct), their account may be temporarily suspended. Suspension periods can range from\u00a07 to 90 days<\/strong>, during which the user cannot access any platform features\u2014they cannot log in, list properties, send offers, or communicate with others. All their active listings are hidden. This is a \u201ctime-out\u201d period intended to be a significant deterrent.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Permanent Removal (Banning):<\/strong>\u00a0This is the most severe action, reserved for egregious violations or users who show a pattern of misconduct despite prior sanctions. Grounds for permanent removal include:\u00a0confirmed fraudulent activity, identity theft, repeated harassment or threats, operating multiple accounts to circumvent bans, or consistently posting fake listings.<\/strong>\u00a0Upon removal, the user\u2019s account, all profile data, listings, and history are permanently deleted from Properti Nigeria. They are prohibited from creating new accounts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Dispute Resolution Process<\/h4>\n

    If a user believes an enforcement action (warning, suspension, removal) was applied in error, they have the right to appeal.<\/p>\n

      The user must contact our support team via the designated channel, citing their case.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      They should provide any evidence or context that they believe was overlooked during the initial investigation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      A senior member of the Trust & Safety team will conduct a secondary, impartial review of the entire case, including the appeal information.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      The user will be notified of the final decision, which is binding. This process ensures fairness and gives users a voice while upholding our community standards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
