Booking an Inspection: What Happens After You Accept an Offer

You’ve reviewed the offers and found a property you love. Clicking “Accept Offer” is a significant action that triggers the next phase: the inspection. Here’s exactly what happens.
Immediate System Actions
-
Inspection Created: The platform instantly generates an inspection booking linked to that specific property and vendor.
-
Notifications Sent: Both you and the vendor receive immediate notifications (in-app and via email) that an inspection has been booked.
-
Dashboard Update: The inspection appears in your “Inspections” tab under “Pending.” The vendor sees it in their “Inspections” tab under “New Requests.”
The Vendor’s Response Window
The vendor must now Accept or Decline the inspection request. They typically have a short period to do this.
-
If they Accept: The inspection is confirmed. It remains in the “Pending” tab for both parties, now showing the agreed date/time and contact options. You can now communicate directly to coordinate logistics (exact meeting point, video call link).
-
If they Decline: You will be notified. The inspection is canceled, and the offer is effectively voided. You can then consider accepting another offer from your list.
Coordinating the Inspection
In the “Pending Inspection” card, you will see:
-
Inspection Type: Whether it’s On-Site (at the property) or Video Call (e.g., via WhatsApp).
-
Date & Time: The proposed slot.
-
CTAs: Buttons to Reschedule (propose a new time), Cancel the inspection, or Contact the vendor directly via their provided phone/WhatsApp number.
Post-Inspection Flow
After the physical/virtual viewing:
-
Either you or the vendor can mark the inspection as “Completed” in the “Pending” tab.
-
Once completed, the card moves to the “Completed Inspections” history.
-
The system will then prompt you to Rate Your Experience. This is a vital step to maintain community quality. You can rate the vendor and leave optional feedback on the process.
Accepting an offer is a commitment to inspect. Ensure you are serious about the property before clicking, as frequent cancellations can affect your rating within the community.
